V-ROD CONTROL ARM (MTVT) REPLACEMENT - Continued

INSTALLATION
NOTE
Front and rear V-rod control arms are installed the same way. Rear shown.
Steps (1) and (2) require the aid of an assistant.
1.
Position V-rod control arm (3) to align with two brackets (6) and V-rod bracket (7).
CAUTION
A soft-headed hammer must be used to seat V-rod control arm fitting. Failure to comply
may result in damage to equipment.
2.
Seat V-rod control arm fitting (5) on V-rod bracket (7) and install self-locking nut (4).
3.
Install four bolts (2) securing ends of V-rod control arm (3) to brackets (6).
4.
Tighten self-locking nut (4) to 598-731 lb-ft (810-990 Nm).
5.
Tighten bolts (2) to 399-487 lb-ft (541-660 Nm).
6.
Remove trestles from trailer.
