An item that provides continuous backup power to electronic devices in the event of a utility power dip or blackout. It generally contains a battery and a power inverter that provides the necessary backup power in the event of a loss of normal input utility power. It may also contain a power line filter or power line conditioning devices. Excludes power supplies without standby power, electrical power inverers, and batteries.
