NOTE
RTCH must be parked on level ground with all wheels pointing straight ahead.
When calibrating the boom and tophandler, perform all ten calibration steps in order. DO NOT
skip or omit any steps.
CALIBRATION
1.
Access to Calibration Menus.
a.
Turn master battery switch to ON position.
b.
Turn ignition switch ON and start vehicle.
c.
Select Kalmar service menu on driver's Electronic Control System (ECS) display screen and press "Enter".
NOTE
If boom or tophandler angle sensors have been removed or are being replaced, steps d thru f must be
performed prior to calibration.
d.
Ensure boom and tophandler are level with ground.
e.
Enter diagnostic menus, select DIAG SERVO menu, and scroll down to display 7 (13). Note angle sensor voltage
reading.
f.
Loosen setscrew securing angle sensor lever to shaft. Rotate sensor shaft until voltage reading is between 7 and
8V (boom angle sensor) or 4V (tophandler angle sensor). Retighten setscrew and recheck voltage reading.
g.
Enter calibration program access number "13221" and press "Enter".
h.
Press right arrow button to locate "CALIBR SERVO" menu, then press "Enter".
