FRONT AXLE SHAFT MAINTENANCE (Con’t).
CAUTION
l Ensure that seal (9) and washer
(12) are properly positioned
and that needle bearings (11)
are properly alined in bearing
cups (2),
l Ensure that bearing cups (2)
are alined with universal joint
(3) trunnion. Failure to follow
this caution
may result in
damage to universal joint and
bearing cups.
2 .
Position 2 bearing cups (2) at outside
of outer axle shaft (7) yoke and press
in bearing cups far enough to install 2
retainer clips (10).
