Make certain machine gun
is clear of ammo and barrel
is free of obstruction.

Check pintle support assembly for
missing pins and for tightness of
all fasteners and operating parts.
Make sure machine gun is locked
in horizontal position.
Operate ammo box latch. When
locked, ammo box must be stur-
dy and secure. Check mount for
presence of its condition. Hand
function weapon to check for
proper assembly and operation.
Refer to TM 9-1005-213-10.
Check headspace and timing and
adjust if necessary. Refer to TM
9-1005-213-10.
