GENERAL INFORMATION Overhaul Procedure OVERHAUL PROCEDURE The Overhaul Procedure which follows is intended to help you to become accustomed to a systematic method of repairing Briggs & Stratton engines.  Naturally these steps could be rearranged in different order but efficiency is obtained when the repair operations are performed in the same sequence every time.  The exact procedure will vary according to the engine model being repaired. The Overhaul Procedure can also be used as an index.  For information on how to perform most operations listed, refer to the page number or operation.  Be careful to locate the instructions covering the specific model being repaired.
