b. Installation.

(1) Position switch box (7) on fender (3).

(2) Working underneath fender (3) insert four screws (4), four flat washers (5) and four lock-

washers (6) through fender and into switch box (7) and tighten.

(3) Connect power cables (1) to load terminals on generator sets (2). (Refer to TM 5-6115-

585-12.)

Switch Box Repair.

WARNING

Make sure generator set circuit breakers are in OFF position before performing

any repairs on switch box. Failure to observe this precaution may result in

injury or death by electrocution.

a. Load Terminal and Terminal Board Replacement. (See figure 4-10.) There are four load

terminals on the switch box terminal board. This procedure is typical for all four. When reconnecting

wires, refer to the schematic inside the switch box (figure 4-7 or 4-8, as applicable) and to the

identification bands on the wires.
