Identification plate replacement. Secure identification

Install RE' contact strip (item 6, App. D) to the chassis

Secure handles (42) on front panel (9) with two screws

Replace connectors J1 through J7 in accordance with para-

Replace holddown hooks in accordance with paragraph
6-8b(6) .
Secure front panel to heatsink (12) with two screws (9E).

Also secure front panel to chassis with eight screws
(9A).
Replace top and bottom covers (2 and 3) in accordance

Terminal board replacement.

Secure terminal board (51) to plate (52) with two screws

(56), lock washers (57) , flat washers (58) and nuts (60) .
Solder wires, as marked, to terminals of terminal board

(51) and remove tags.

Secure plate (52) to heatsink (12) using five screws
(53), lock washers (54) and flat washers (55).
Install overvoltage protection modules U1, U2, U3 and U4

in accordance with paragraph 6-8b(8).

Install power supply modules PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4 in
accordance with paragraph 6-8b(7).
(f)
Install top and bottom covers on chassis (4) in
accordance with paragraph 6-8b{1).
Riveting.
c.
To replace a rivet(s) on chassis or hardware item, proceed as
follows:
(1) Remove covers and components as required to gain access to
(Refer to Tool Lisitng in Appendix
rivet(s) to be replaced.
B.)
(2) Center punch the rivet head of rivet to be replaced.
( 3 ) Using a drill smaller than the diameter of the rivet, drill
out the center of rivet head to be replaced.
