Weekly Preventive Maintenance Check and Services

Corrosion
Make sure exterior surfaces of the unit are
free of rust and corrosion.
Monthly Preventive Maintenance.
Perform all the preventive maintenance checks and services listed
in table 4-3 once each month in the sequence listed. A month is
defined as approximately 30 calendar days of eight-hour-per-day
operation.
If the equipment is operated 16 hours a day, the monthly
preventive maintenance checks and services should be performed at
15-day intervals. Adjustment of the maintenance interval must be
made to compensate for any unusual operating schedule.

clean. If necessary, proceed as directed in
table 4-1, step 2.
Inspect exterior surfaces of the unit for

chipped paint or corrosion. If necessary,
spot-paint surfaces as follows:
a.
Remove rust and corrosion from metal
surfaces by sanding them with
sandpaper (item 9, App. D) .
b.
Brush two coats of light green enamel
(item 7, App. D) to protect unit from
further corrosion.
c.
Refer to the applicable cleaning and
refinishing practices specified in TB
43-0118.
Inspect unit interconnecting cables for
