TM 5-3610-294-13&P SECTION III.  OPERATION UNDER USUAL CONDITIONS 2-13.  ASSEMBLY AND PREPARATION FOR USE. a. Site  Selection.    Refer  to  Figure  2-11  for  a  typical  setup  of  the  MPS  system.    The  site  selected  should  be  as follows: (1) Terrain slope can be no more than 8 inches over the 120 foot depth or width of the site. (2) Module B and C unexpanded shelters must be positioned no less than 232 inches apart and no more than 241 inches apart. (3) Module  B  and  C  expanded  shelters  must  be  no  less  than  66  inches  apart  and  no  more  than  75  inches apart. (4) Site should allow for a reasonable maneuvering area around the equipment. (5) Terrain should be firm, reasonably level, well drained and relatively free of large surface rocks. NOTE The solar bar levers on the rear end of the shelter have been removed due to lack of clearance at the air conditioner housing. A ratchet wrench is supplied for use in rotating the solar bar and is stowed inside the cargo door on the 36,000 BTUH air conditioner side. b. Setup of Shelter.  Refer to TM 10-5411-200-14 for detailed instructions for setting up the shelter. 2-21
