Troubleshooting
MALFUNCTION
TEST OR INSPECTION
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
PRINTER WILL NOT POWER ON.
Check if ac power cord is plugged into outlet.
Step 1.
If not, plug it in.
Check if power switch is ON.
Step 2.
I f not, set it ON.
I f printer is plugged in and powered ON, but will not run,
Step 3.
T e l l your supervisor.
STATUS CODE BLANK (FAULT UNDEFINED).

Power OFF, then power ON printer (para 2-7).
I f f a u l t p e r s i s t s , t e l l your supervisor maintenance is required.

STATUS CODE 00 (PROCESSOR BOARD PROM NOT PROPERLY CONNECTED).
Power OFF, then power ON printer (para 2-7).

STATUS CODE 01 (PAPER SUPPLY LOW).
Check paper supply.
I n s t a l l paper (para 2-8), press ALARM/CLEAR switch. If fault
p e r s i s t s , tell your supervisor maintenance is required.
STATUS CODE 02 (PAPER MOTION FAULT).
5.
Check paper motion path (para 2-8).
Step 1.
Clear paper jam, and press ALARM/CLEAR switch.
Check sprocket width.
Step 2.
Adjust sprocket width (para 2-8), and press ALARM/CLEAR switch.
