NOTE
Optimum PHASE control setting for
s i n g l e part paper is at or near
c e n t e r position. I f good quality
print can only be achieved by
setting the PHASE control to its
f u l l y clockwise or counterclockwise
p o s i t i o n , tell your supervisor
m a i n t e n a n c e is required.
20. Adjust PHASE control knob to print
density.

If character is light on left
s i d e , turn knob counterclockwise
· If
character is light on right
s i d e , turn knob clockwise
21. Repeat steps 15 thru 21 until
d e s i r e d print quality is obtained.
I f proper print quality cannot be
o b t a i n e d , tell your supervisor
m a i n t e n a n c e is required.
NOTE
COPIES control knob should be set at
minimum setting needed to obtain
clear copy on the back copy. This
w i l l extend the life of the print
hammers.
22. Set COPIES control knob in center
position.
23. Set TEST switch to far right
position.
24. Close operator door.
25. Press ON/OFF LIN E switch to start
print.
26. Allow 10 or 12 l i n e s of the sliding
p a t t e r n to be printed, then press
ON/OFF LINE switch to stop print.
27. Press TOP OF FORM switch two or
t h r e e times.
