29.3 Quarterly Maintenance
Quarterly preventive maintenance checks and services on the
equipment are required. Periodic daily (par. 24), weekly (par. 25),
and monthly (par. 29.2) preventive maintenance checks and serv-
ices constitute a part of the quarterly preventive maintenance
checks and services and must be performed concurrently. All defi-
ciencies or shortcomings will be recorded in accordance with the
requirements of TM­38­750. Perform all the checks and services
listed in the quarterly preventive maintenance checks and services
chart (par. 29.4 ) in the sequence listed.

29.5 Touchup Painting Instructions
Remove rust and corrosion from metal surfaces by lightly sanding
them with fine sandpaper. Brush two thin coats of paint on the bare
metal to protect it from further corrosion. Refer to the applicable
cleaning and refinishing practices specified in TM 9-213.
