Figure 2-3.  Film Dryer Assembly

TM 10-3610-202-14 Figure 2-2.  Foot Operated Camera Vacuum Pump e.  Film Dryer.  The electric film dryer is a Decco Model 1418 which    utilizes    air    blade    drying    to    provide    quicker    film production.  The dryer is mounted on a shelf attached to the right-hand  shelter  wall  above  the  sink.    The  wet  processed film  is  fed  into  the  dryer  through  a  slot  located  in  the  front panel of the unit.  A series of squeegee rollers then carries the film  through  the  dryer  passing  it  between  a  set  of  upper  and lower air tubes which direct the air over  the  surfaces  of  the  film.    The  dried  film  is  then  passed through  a  slot  in  the  rear  of  the  dryer  housing.    A  deflector mounted on the rear housing then steers the film upward and back  over  the  top  of  the  dryer  unit  to  bring  it  within  reach  of the operator.  (See fig.  2-3.) Power for the dryer is obtained through an adjacent equipment receptacle and is controlled by means of a two-position switch on the front of the unit. 2-4
