2-2.  Transmitter/Controller (T/C).-Continued d. Braking Switches. (See Figure 2-6.) CAUTION Activation of FLARE switch sequence will command and lock the system in 100% braking. The switch is unable to be disengaged without turning off the T/C, possibly causing system damage upon impact. (1) FLARE ENB (Enable) Switch. Enables the FLARE switch, allowing it to function. Not used in this configuration. (2) FLARE Switch. Indicates a "flare" landing. A "flare" procedures the slowest for- ward speed and slowest rate of descent possible. Not used in this configuration. (3) 0% 25%, 50%, and 100% Brakes Selector Switches. Selects the amount of braking during descent of the parachute. In normal operations, the brakes will be 0% and the red light will be on. The 25%, 50%, and 100% brakes position may be selected for any one AGU which has a red flashing light. 2-14
