TM 10-1670-296-20&P                                                       0002 00 0002 00-12 Aircraft Cargo Tie-down.  The MB-1 and MB-2 aircraft cargo tie-downs consist of a 108-inch length of steel chain (2) with a grab hook (3) and a turn-buckle tightening device (1) with a quick-release lever.  The MB-1 tie-down has a load capacity of 10,000-pounds (4,500 kg) and the MB-2 has a capacity of 25,000- pounds (11,200 kg).  These tie-downs are used to secure rigged loads on the transport vehicle while in route to an aircraft and while installed inside an aircraft. 3 ¾-Inch, 2-Point Link.  The 3 ¾-inch, 2-point link assembly (1) consists of two side plates (2), spacer, sleeve, large (3), and is secured with two bolts (4) and two nuts (5).  This assembly (also called the 2-point link) is used to join extraction parachutes to the extraction system (line bag) for LVADS. The two-point link can also be used to join suspension slings or when a single extraction link is required. 1 2 through 5 5 2 3 4
