Safety.  Use care in handling packed parachutes as exposed metal parts could cause painful injuries. Care and Handling.  Every effort shall be made to protect the parachute from weather elements, dust, dirt, oil, grease, and acid.  An unpacked parachute shall be placed in an aviator kit bag.  When available, an environmentally controlled building should be used to store parachutes.  Parachutes shall be stored in a dry, well-ventilated location and protected from pilferage, dampness, fire, dirt, insects, rodents, and direct sunlight. COMMON TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT For authorized common tools and equipment, refer to the Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) applicable to your unit. SPECIAL TOOLS, TEST MEASUREMENT AND DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT (TMDE), AND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT Special tools, TMDE and support equipment is not required. REPAIR PARTS AND SPECIAL TOOLS LIST (RPSTL) Repair parts are listed and illustrated in WP 0041 00 through WP 0048 00 of this manual.
