TM 10-1670-287-23&P 0006 00 0006 00-10 3. Remove connector links and control lines from line organizing card and loosely connect connector links and control lines to proper riser. 4. Perform a suspension line continuity check by tracing each line from canopy through proper slider grommet to proper riser connector link as follows: a. Hang the parachute at every loaded rib, with clamps, by its tail, using a suitable (locally manufactured) hanging device (approximately 16-feet in length). b. Elongate the suspension lines and obtain suspension line group separation. c. Suspend the slider by the two (2) rear grommets. d. Secure the risers to a suitable anchor point. e. Starting from the risers (from rigger view), check to ensure the right and left risers are attached to the correct side. f. Check each riser to ensure that the three-ring assemble is facing down. g. Trace each riser up to the connector links and ensure each barrel nut faces inboard and closes upward toward the canopy. h. Check the slider to ensure that the reinforcement webbing is facing the canopy and the arrow is facing down. Risers Slider Suspension Device Clamps
