(1) Fold the vent lines and the canopy bridle loop on top of the stowed canopy inside the pack.  Fold the pack closing flaps over the stowed canopy assembly. NOTE In the following step, be sure that none of the webbing passes over the static line. (2) Thread an appropriate length of type 1, 1/4-inch cotton webbing through the lower end flap closing loop, the static line pack opening loop, the left side flap closing loop, the upper end flap closing loop, under the static line, and through the right side flap closing loop (figure 2-32). (3) Draw the webbing length taut and secure the webbing ends with a surgeon’s knot and a locking knot (figure 2-33).  Trim tie ends to 2 inches. 2-46
