ROLLER PAD INSTALLATION SEQUENCE CONT.

                                                                   TM 10-1670-268-20&P                                            0004 00 0004 00-11 d.    Turning the platform assembly.    (1) To turn the platform upright, use two clevises (1) to attach a 3-foot suspension sling (2) to two adjacent bushings (3) near the center of one of the side rails. (2) With the suspension sling attached, the platform may be lifted and turned over.  Two straps should be attached to the opposite two corners of the platform to guide the platform as it is being raised. (3) Once the platform is turned upright, it should be placed on the supporting materials, allowing access to the bolts in the outboard side of the outboard roller pad. e.    The tandem link or suspension bracket assemblies are also used as suspension brackets when the type V platform is used for platform suspended, low-velocity airdrop.  The typical configuration is illustrated below. 2.    The assembly for a platform suspension configuration is as follows: a.    Low Velocity.  Install a large clevis (1) in the 1-inch hole provided on the tandem link/suspension bracket assembly (2) as required. SIDE RAIL 2 X 4s AS TEMPORARY PROTECTION FOR SIDE RAIL EDGES DURING HANDLING. 1 3 2 2 1
