Radar

1-37 Radar Some helpful radar information/formulas are shown below.   PW Pulse Width—The width of the transmitted RF pulse from the radar (the term can also be used regarding other non-RF information). PRT Pulse Repetition Time—The duration of the time between radar transmitter pulses (leading edge of pulse to leading edge of the next pulse). PRR or PRF PRF Pulse Repetition Rate or Pulse Repetition Frequency—the number of pulses that occur during one second. DC Duty Cycle—The amount of actual transmitter pulse time (PW) divided by the amount of transmitter total time (PRT). For radar applications, the duty cycle will always be less than one. Ppk Power Peak (normally referenced in kilowatts)—The actual power of the transmitted RF pulse (PW). Pavg Average Power (normally referenced in watts)—The transmitted power relative to one PRT.
