TM9-2320-387-24-l 1   l-26.     SERVICE BRAKE SYSTEM  OPERATION 1 The service brake system is identical for both models covered in this manual. It is an inboard-mounted,  four- wheel,  disc brake, hydraulically-assisted  system. Major components  of the braking system are: 0 A 0 B 0 C 0 D 0 E 0 F 0 G BRAKE  LINEAGE   -  Directs brake pedal pressure to hydro-booster. HYDRO-BOOSTER     -  Converts hydraulic  power from the steering pump to mechanical power to the master cylinder, providing  power assist during braking. MASTER   CYLINDEIURESERVOIR     -  Stores brake fluid, and  converts mechanical pedal pressure to hydraulic pressure. PROPORTIONING     VALVE -  Provides balanced front-to-rear  braking and activates brake warning lamp in case of brake system malfunction. ACCUMIJLATOR   -  Stores hydraulic  pressure for additional  power-assisted braking in case of loss of pressure in steering system. BRARE   PEDAL  -  Provides  operator control for stopping vehicle. BRAKE   PRESSURE   LIMITER   -  Limits front brake line pressure to prevent brake lockup. 1-33
