S250 Shelter Carrier (M1037 and M1042) Equipment.
KEY
ITEM AND FUNCTION
CAUTION
The M1037 and M1042 Shelter Carriers are specifically designed to
be operated with the S250 shelter installed. It can be driven safely
without the shelter installed, or equivalent payload of 1500 lb
(681 kg), for short distances (e.g., to and from maintenance or from
the rail head when being delivered), but this should not be done
often or for long distances. Driving for long distances without the
shelter installed, or equivalent payload of 1500 lb (681 kg) evenly
distributed in center of cargo area, will cause damage to equipment.

Shelter reinforcement brackets (four each) secure S250 Shelter Carrier to vehicle body.

Rear Suspension Tiedown Kit is used to compress rear suspension to obtain an overall height of
102 in. (259 cm) with S250 shelter.
