Cargo tiedowns (eight each) provide tiedown points for use in cargo operations (M998, M998A1,
M1038, and M1038A1 only).

Tailgate chains and hooks secure tailgate to rear of vehicle body (all except M996, M996A1, M997,
M997A1, and M997A2).

Tailgate opens and closes to allow access to vehicle cargo area (all except M996, M996A1, M997,
M997A1, and M997A2).

Lifting shackles (located at front and rear of vehicle) are used to lift or tie down vehicle.

Trailer receptacle provides electrical power for towed equipment.

Towing pintle (rear bumper) provides connection point for towing.

Pintle pin locks pintle latch to towing pintle.
14
Pintle latch pulls up to open towing pintle and pushes down to lock towing pintle.
