TM 9-2320-280-10 CHAPTER 2 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Section I.  DESCRIPTION AND USE OF OPERATOR'S CONTROLS AND INDICATORS 2-1. KNOW YOUR CONTROLS AND INDICATORS Before you attempt to operate your equipment, be sure you are familiar with the location and function of all controls and indicators. The location and function of the controls and indicators are described in this section. WARNING · This vehicle has been designed to operate safely and efficiently within the limits specified in this TM. Operation beyond these limits is prohibited IAW AR 750-1 without written approval from the Commander, U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, ATTN: AMSTA-CM-S, Warren, MI 48397-5000. · Do not use the hand throttle as an automatic speed or cruise control. The hand throttle does not automatically disengage when brake is applied, resulting in increased stopping distances and possible hazardous and unsafe operation. Injury to personnel or damage to equipment may result. NOTE · Except where noted, the controls and indicators in this section are applicable to all vehicles covered in this manual. · In this manual, the term “left" indicates the driver side of the vehicle. The term "right" indicates the opposite side of the vehicle. 2-1
