1-10. POWERPLANT ASSEMBLY
a.
The powerplant assembly consists of a turbine assembly (A), combustor assembly (B), and
drive system (C). The forward end of the air inlet portion of the turbine assembly is secured by bolts (D) to
the drive system. The combustor assembly is secured by clamp (E) to a flange on the aft end of the air inlet
housing. Principles of operation for major components of the powerplant assembly are described in the
following paragraphs.
