INITIAL SETUP Tools: Material/Parts: Aircraft  Electrician’s  Tool  Kit,  NSN  5180-00-323-4915 Calibration  Fluid,  NSN  6850-00-264-5771 Fuel Pump Test Tank, Item 5, Appendix D White  Petrolatum,  NSN  6505-00-133-8025 Cartridge Pulling Tool, Item 4, Appendix D Preformed  Packing  (2req)  NSN  5330-00-435-9355 Preformed  Packing,  NSN  5330-00-410-4887 Equipment  Condition: Assembled Pump Cartridge; or pump cartridge Personnel  Required: installed  in  pump  housing. 68F Aircraft Electrician NOTE The boost pump may be final acceptance tested either as a complete cartridge and housing assembly, or as the pump cartridge alone. When testing the assembled cartridge and housing, the dummy hous- ing installed in the test tank must be removed from the tank. When testing the pump cartridge, the cartridge is installed in the dummy housing. NOTE When performing the test procedures, follow only the instructions that apply to your boost pump model. Procedures applying to the cartridge  will  be  identified  as  BOOST  PUMP  CARTRIDGE.  Proce- dures applying to the assembled cartridge and housing will be iden- tified as ASSEMBLED CARTRIDGE AND HOUSING. Proce- dures applying to both the cartridge alone and the assembly will be identified  BOOST  PUMP,  CARTRIDGE  AND  ASSEMBLY. NOTE The boost pump drain port must be plugged for final testing. Reference the aircraft manual for the proper plug and preformed packing required. GO TO NEXT PAGE 2-93
