TRAM   BARS   AND   TRAM   BLOCKS Tram  bars  are  used  to  set  an  element  to  an  exact position,  to  determine  the  distance  between  two  tram blocks  that  are  fastened  to  the  element.  One  block  is fastened  to  the  rotating  structure  of  the  element,  and the  other  block  is  fastened  to  the  fixed  structure  of  the element.  As  shown  in  figure  3-12,  the  tram  bar  is  used to   ensure   the   correct   positioning   of   the   movable block.
