APPENDIX II ENGINEERING TECHNICAL LIBRARY The technical library is setup and maintained according to guidelines set forth in the COMCBPAC/LANT 5070 series instructions. These instructions contain a list of both civilian and military publications that are pertinent to most normal construction. It is the responsibility of the Engineering Aid to ensure that the library contains up-to-date publications. This is done by checking the contents of the library against the latest instructions. As the instructions give only the title and not the year of the publication, they must be compared with (1) the NAVFAC Documentation Index, P-349, a list of current publications available through the Navy, and (2) the Department of the Army Pamphlet 310-4, Military Publications, a list of current Army Technical Manuals (TMs). If special construction is anticipated, it may be necessary to add publications not included in the COMCBPAC/LANT 5070 instructions.
