Scope. This bulletin provides instructions for the periodic calibration of gage, height, vernier, model

454. It is to be used by personnel trained and qualified in the use of calibration equipment.

Test instrument identification (unit-under-test). Starrett model 454 height gages are precision tools

designed for use in tool rooms and inspection departments on layout, jig, and fixture work to accurately

measure or mark off vertical distances and-locate center distances in thousands of an inch.
