Definition of Terms, Continued Circles (Continued) Circles are also used to construct curves. The Spiral of Archimedes is a curve that forms at a fixed point in the center of the circle and rotates through  geometrically  determined  points  or  locus.  As  the  locus  uniformly increase or decrease their distance from the center, the spiral emerges.
