Blueprint Compositions, Continued Sheet sizes Drawing sheet sizes are standardized by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Sheet  sizes  are  designated  by  letter.  These  standards  are  published  in MIL-STD-100A.  The  drawing  sheet  sizes  you  use  are  determined  by  the needs of your command and your need to economically lay out required information Figure 1-35 lists drawing sheet sizes and the associated letter designators.
