Textural Compositions, Continued Proportion (Continued) To decide on practical and attractive page layouts, determine the amount of copy required and the objective of the final product.    Some  rectangular  forms are more pleasing than others.   The three most common rectangular page layouts are the hypotenuse rectangle with a width to height ratio of 5:7, the regular rectangle (2:3), and the Golden Mean rectangle (3:5).
