Erasers, Continued Air erasers Air  erasers  are  air  powered.   The principle of operation is similar to that of sandblasting.    Isolate unwanted areas and protect the rest of the drawing by masking with a frisket or masking tape.   With a special airbrush and a compressor, eraser particles are shot at 35 pounds-per-square inch (PSI) at the drawing until the erasure is complete.   You cannot use an airbrush intended for pigments because the size and nature of the abrasive grit will ruin the delicate parts of an airbrush intended for pigment. 1-11
