Basic DC Theory DC CIRCUIT ANALYSIS Substitute  these  equations  for  I1,  I2,  and  I3  into  Kirchhoff’s  current  equation  (2-20)  yields  the following. First,  assume  direction  of  current  flow  shown.    Mark  nodes  A,  B,  C,  and  N,  and  mark  the Figure 45    Node - Voltage Analysis polarity across each resistor.
