TM   9-6115-668-13 Section III. OPERATION UNDER USUAL CONDITIONS 2.3 INITIAL  ADJUSTMENTS,  CHECKS,  AND  SELF  TEST. 2.3.1   Initial   AdjustmentS. The  Generator  Set  150  kW  requires  no  initial  adjustments. 2.3.2  Checks  and  self  test. 2.3.2.1  Control  Cabinet  Assembly  Lamp  Test. Before  operating  the  unit:  perform  steps  a  through  d. During  operation  of  the  unit:  perform  step  d. 1.  Preparation: Open  flap  (1,  figure  2-6)  and  set  MASTER  SWITCH  (10)  to  ON. a.    Turn  PANEL  DIMMER  switch/potentiometer  (8)  all  the  way  to  the  right. b.  The  following  lamps  must  light  up: The  three  front  panel  lights  (2) BATTERY  CHARGING  CONTROL  (3)  and  OIL  PRESSURE  (4) c.  The  following  meters  must  be  illuminated: OIL  TEMPERATURE  (5),  OIL  PRESSURE  (6),  and  FUEL  LEVEL  (7) d.  Pressure  LAMP  TEST  pushbutton  (9): All  lamps  on  front  panel  must  light  up. e.    If  any  lamp  fails  to  light,  refer  to  the  next  higher  level  of  maintenance. 2.3.2.2   Cabinet   Light 1.    Proceed  as  follows  to  test  the  light  installed  in  the  cabinet: a. Remove  the  key  from  the  left  side  of  the  front  panel  and  using  the  key  turn  the  four  front  panel  quick-release fasteners  to  the  right  to  unlock  them. b.    Open  the  front  panel  to  the  right,  set  the  front  panel  prop  to  keep  the  panel  open  and  check  that  the  light  installed in  the  cabinet  lights  up. c.    If  lamp  fails  to  light,  refer  to  the  next  higher  level  of  maintenance. d.    Close the front panel and turn the four front panel quick-release fasteners to the left to secure them.
