HANDBRAKE - continued
b. Check adjustment of handbrake lever
(1). Lever is properly adjusted when
it is difficult to move beyond two-
thirds of the way to the applied
position. If out of adjustment, see
step d.
With trailer hooked to towing
vehicle, set handbrake lever (1).
Move trailer slightly to see if
handbrakes hold wheels. If not,
proceed to step d.
Adjust handbrake as follows.
Release handbrake lever (1).
Turn adjustment knob (2) clockwise
to tighten or counterclockwise to
loosen. If unable to adjust, or if
adjustment has been used up, refer
to Unit Level Maintenance.
Check adjustment (Refer to step b).
Repeat steps 1 and 2 as required.
Repeat step c.
