Damage is to   extent where it poses a safety hazard or prevents trailer from being towed. 11 Before LIGHTS AND REFLECTORS a. Check for obvious damage or looseness of lights, lenses, and reflectors. Lights are not serviceable. NOTE An assistant is required while checking the brake lights. b. Connect the intervehicular cable (16) to         the towing vehicle. c. Operate the vehicle light switch   through all settings and check the                    lights (17). d. Check for damage and presence of               reflectors (18).
