TM 5-6115-593-12 TO 35C2-3-463-1 STEP 1.    ENSURE  THAT  THE  PREHEAT  SYSTEM  HAS  BEEN  OPERATED  A  MINIMUM  OF  6  HOURS  PRIOR  TO STARTING.  THE PREHEAT SYSTEM IS ACTIVATED AS FOLLOWS: A.      ENSURE   THAT   JUMPER   IS   ON   BETWEEN   TERMINALS   1   AND   3   ON   TERMINAL   BOARD   20 (LOCATED IN THE AC-DC CONTROL BOX) AS SHOWN BELOW, ONLY IF THE GENERATOR SET IS PERMANENTLY CONNECTED TO EXTERNAL POWER TO PERMIT BATTERY CHARGE OPERATION. B. CONNECT  120/240V  AC  ETERNAL  POWER  SOURCE  TO  EXTERNAL  POWER  RECEPTACLE  ON EXTERNAL POWER BOX CONTROL PANEL. C. SWITCH EXTERNAL POWER BREAKER TO ON. D. SWITCH PREHEAT SYSTEM SWITCH TO ON.
