d. Installation.

(1) Using new gaskets, reverse procedure in a

above.

( 2 ) Do not fully tighten screws attaching

intake manifold to exhaust manifold until after

manifolds are completely installed and attaching

hardware fully tightened.

(3) To avoid heat cracking of exhaust

manifold, be certain to install four cone washers

and cone nuts on extreme ends of exhaust manifold.

Ensure that washer recess mates with nut cone face

to allow movement of exhaust manifold without

l o o s e n i n g due to expansion and contraction of

manifold.
