b. For repairs performed by the Government outside the 50 states, the cost of labor will

be borne by AM General, at the prevailing hourly rate for such services and number of hours appearing

in AM General's flat rate schedule or the Government's actual cost, whichever is less.

c. With respect to defective supplies, the warranty shall include replacement of the failed

part in kind by AM General without cost to the Government.

d. For repairs accomplished by the Government, a Labor/Parts Reimbursement Claim Form

(see figure 4) will be submitted to AM General. The form will be accompanied by documentation

of the Government's actual labor cost, substatiation of the Government hourly rate and a copy

of the DA Form 2407. The Labor/Ports Reimbursement Claim Form is locally reproduced.

Reimbursement will be in the form of a check payable to the Treasurer of the United States, issued

to the reporting activity.

e. AM General has furnished a flat rate time schedule for the vehicle under contract, for the

purpose of providing a basis for reimbursement of Government labor costs. The schedule specifies

total number of labor hours allowable for major repair time, and test time, where applicable.
