TM 10-3930-664-24 d. Fill terminal wire cavity with melted solder. Allow solder to cool several minutes before moving wires or terminal. G. WEATHER-PROOF TERMINAL-TYPE CONNECTOR 1. DISASSEMBLE. a. Slide shell back to expose sleeve. b. Slide    sleeve    back    to    expose    terminal. Remove and discard terminal. c. Remove sleeve and shell. 2. ASSEMBLE. a. Strip wire.  Use care not to nick or cut wire strands. NOTE If  solid  core  solder  is   used   to   coat wires,   bare   wires   must   be   cleaned with flux before tinning. b. Tin bare wires. Use rosin-core solder to coat bare wires. c. Slide shell and sleeve onto wire. NOTE New    terminal    must    match    size    of mating contact at terminal connection.      New   terminal   crimping area must match thickness of wire. d. Insert wire into new terminal. e. Slide    shell    over    sleeve    and    terminal. Ensure sleeve is firmly seated on terminal and shell is firmly seated over sleeve. 2-241
