The   following   are   general   practices   regarding   the   use   of tools. a . To   prevent   personal   injury   and   damage   to   tools,   always   use   the   proper tool.   for   the   task   being   performed. b . Be   sure   to   keep   tools   clean   and   lubricated.   Following   this   practice   will reduce   wear   and   prevent   rust. c.   Keep   track   of   your   tools.   Do   not   be   careless   with   them. d . Return   tools   to   tool   box   when   you   are   finished   with   repair   or   mainte- nance. e.   Return   tool   boxes   to   tool   storage   when   not   in   use. f . Inventory   tools   before   and   after   each   use. g . Use   the   tool   kit   specified   in   the   procedure. It   contains   the   tools   you will   need   to   complete   the   maintenance   task. Some   maintenance   tasks   require   special   or   fabricated   tools.   The   initial page   of   the   task   will   name   any   special   or   fabricated   tool   needed   for   that procedure.   Use   these   special   tools   only   for   the   maintenance   tasks   for   which they   are   designed   or   called   out. Personnel   should   be   carefully   instructed   in the   use   of   these   tools. 2-4
