Cleaning  solvent  P-D-680 Asbestos  gloves Clean  cloths Oil, No. 30 STEP LOCATION ITEM ACTION REMARKS REMOVAL 1 Cylinder a.  Eight  connecting Remove block rod nuts (1) NOTE Bearing liners are locked in groove of connecting rod bearing cap. Remove with cap as an assembly. b. Four connecting Check, remove, Check that cap (2) and connecting rods are rod  bearing and set aside numbered as to location in block. Number caps  (2) cap and rod if necessary c. 10 cap screws (3) Remove NOTE Main bearing liners are locked in groove of main bearing caps. Remove with cap as an assembly. Check that main bearing caps are numbered for location in cylinder d. Front main bearing cap (4) e. Two intermediate block.  If  necessary,  number, Remove  and set aside Remove  and main bearing caps (5) set aside Change 1 4-25
