Data rate indication (CI) may be selected to allow the modem to indicate to the

DTE the data rate. This is accomplished by positioning CI jumper in (CH jumper
out) . For external data rate control into the V.29 modem, position CH jumper
in (CI jumper out). Normally shipped jumpered CI.
