TM   11-5895-1412-12&P Frequency ranges are as follows: LF 0.0001-1.9999  Mhz 2.0000-29.9999  MHz VF-FM 30.000-87.975  MHz VHF-AM 108.000-149.999  MHz UHF 225.000-399.999  MHz EXTRA 0.0001-9999.99 MHz (includes those frequencies not in other ranges) Frequencies less than 30 MHz are rounded to point. Frequencies equal to or greater than 30 MHz after the decimal point. the fourth digit after the decimal are rounded to the third digit Rounding up occurs for values of six or greater in the extra digit. IF A NET IS NOT ASSIGNED ANY FREQUENCY INFORMATION, IT IS ASSUMED THAT NO FREQUENCY IS NEEDED. Enter into the NET TYPE column the net type. The types include PRI (primary), ALT (alternate) and RTS (retransmission). The default type is PRI. The function key selections change when the cursor is placed in this coiumn.- To select a net type use the following function keys: (f1) PRIMARY NET (f2 (f3 (f4 (f5 (f6 (f7 (f8 ALTERNATE  NET RETRANS NET #1 RETRANS NET #2 RETRANS NET #3 RETRANS  NET  #4 RETRANS NET #5 RETRANS NET #6 A PRIMARY NET is used under normal mode operating conditions. An ALTERNATE NET  is  used  when  the  PRIMARY  net  communications  cannot  be  maintained  due  to jamming  or  interference. A RETRANS NET is assigned to a retrans (radio relay) operation. If anything other than PRI is used as a net type, a corresponding net must be given. There is a 10 MHz separation between a RETRANS net and its corresponding net as well as the alternate net. The CORRESPONDING NET item is used only if the net is an ALTERNATE or RETRANS net  type. The net number used refers to the DESC ID of the PRImary net to which  it  corresponds. Enter  into  the  RESTRICTIONS  column  the  frequency  restrictions  that  have  been placed on the net. Up to eight restrictions may be applied to a given net. The restrictions are entered using the letters in the range A-P. Each letter identifies the explanation of how the frequency is to be restricted. For example, “A” may indicate the frequency cannot be used in a given geographical area. Do not use commas between restrictions. Nets that have a fixed frequency  requirement  should  not  receive  any  restrictions. 2-27
