8. Push transmission input shaft (L) into

transmission.

9. Using pinion turning wrench, turn transmission

until splines aline and shaft (L) will slide in and

seat properly.

10. Remove pinion turning wrench.

11. Using retaining ring pliers, install retaining ring

(M) on input shaft.

12. Position gasket (N) onto plug (P), and using 1-

1/8 inch socket and torque wrench, tighten plug

(P) to 50-60 lb-ft (68-81 N·m).
