Procedure

Step

Check boresight knob readings taken at the different gun positions. If deflection readings

exceed 0.3 mil return to level ground and repeat frames 1 through 7 and this step.

If deflection reading on gunner's periscope deflection slip scale (1) still exceeds 0.3 mil

replace gunner's periscope head (TM-10) and repeat frames 1 through 7 and step 1

above. If deflection error still exceeds 0.3 mil notify support maintenance. If deflection

error was within 0.3 mil continue to step 3.

If elevation reading on gunner's periscope elevation slip scale (2) exceeds 0.3 mil

continue to step 4. If elevation error was within 0.3 mil go to frame 9.

Adjust eccentrics on 11 inch arm (para 3-7) until aiming cross of gunner's periscope

daylight reticle is on same aiming point as gun (view A).
