ENGINE OIL FILTER ELEMENT REPLACEMENT (2D ENGINE) (Sheet 2 of 5)
REMOVAL:
Place rags (Item 65, Appendix D) and container under oil filter to catch drained oil.
1.
Using socket, remove screw (A) and sealing washer from filter element cover (B). Throw sealing

washer away.
Using wrench, turn valve (C) counterclockwise six full turns.
3.
NOTE
Wait about 5 minutes for oil to
drain before doing steps 4 thru 8.
Using socket, remove 10 self-locking nuts and

washers (D). Throw self-locking nuts away.
Install two 3/8-24NF by 3 inch screws in

threaded holes (E).
Using socket, tighten screws in hole (E) and

remove filter cover (B).
Remove gasket (F) and throw away.

Go on to Sheet 3
