A 115-volt ac potential may cause death under certain conditions; therefore, reasonable precautions should be taken
at all times.
Be careful not to contact high-voltage connections for 115-volt ac input when installing or repairing this equipment.
Whenever the nature of the operation permits, keep one hand away from the equipment to reduce the hazard of
current flowing through vital organs of the body.
Never work on electronic equipment unless there is another person nearby who is familiar with the hazards of the
equipment and who is competent in administering first aid.
Operation of this equipment presents a noise
hazard to personnel in the area. The noise level
exceeds the allowable limits
for unprotected personnel. Authorized protective equipment
must be worn by all personnel in
the work area.
WARNING
The Audible Alarm contains rechargeable batteries which may generate ignitable hydrogen gas if certain failures
occur. This is a potential safety hazard.
Do not smoke when opening the enclosure door. After opening, allow the unit to ventilate with the door open for two
minutes before turning the POWER switch to OFF or performing any maintenance action.
If excessive heat or fumes of any nature are being emitted from the Audible Alarm, immediately open the enclosure
door and ventilate for two minutes before turning the power off.
Do not smoke in the vicinity of the unit during the two-minute ventilation period.
